Kelmscott Manor, dating from 1570, became a place of relaxation and inspiration for William Morris (1834-1896), Father of the Arts & Crafts movement.

Today, owned by the Society of Antiquaries of London, the house and Arts and Crafts garden are open to the public.,

In addition to its furniture and furnishings, Kelmscott Manor also contains a significant fine art collection, with important works by Rossetti, Sir Edward Burne-Jones, Albrecht Durer and Breughel.
