The Latvian National Museum of Art consists of four museums and one exhibition hall: Latvian National Museum of Art, Art Museum Riga Bourse, Museum of Decorative Arts and Design, Museum of Romans Suta and Aleksandra Belcova, as well as Arsenals Exhibition Hall.
The Latvian National Museum of Art is, with more than 52,000 works of art, the largest depository of professional art in Latvia, reflecting its development in the Baltics from the middle of the 18th century until the present time.
It regularly organizes art exhibitions, educational activities and cultural events.
The building (Janis Rozentāls sq) dates from 1905 and was designed by the German architect Wilhelm Neumann.
