Museo Diocesano houses beautiful collections of religious works of art, in particular focusing on works from the Lombardy and Milan regions. The museum is located at the complex of the former Cloisters of Sant’Eustorgio.
The complex, dating back to the 4th century, hosted from the 13th century until the late 18th century a Dominican monastery. It was unfortunately heavily destroyed in WW II. Restoration started in the 1980s, whereas today The Basilica and two museums are open to the public.
