The Museum der Moderne Salzburg has two different locations: the Rupertinum in the old town, opened in 1983 and the Museum on the Mönchsberg, opened in 2004. All year round, the Museum der Moderne Salzburg presents at its two locations (Mönchsberg & Rupertinum) exhibitions on the Classical Modern and on art from the end of the Second World War to the present day.
