The Museum of Edinburgh, housed in the 16th century Huntly House and one of the iconic and historic buildings on the Royal Mile, is dedicated to Edinburgh's history and legends, as well as Scottish decorative arts.

Among the highlights you can see for example the original drawings of the New Town or a miniature of the Old Town dating from the sixteenth century, from the time of Mary, Queen of Scots. 

The collection of decorative arts you can admire beautifully cut and engraved glass and intricately made silver from Edinburgh and Canongate, costume, longcase clocks, along with Scottish pottery and Scottish porcelain dating from the 1760s.
