The Belniar Castle Museum, today part of the Slovak National Museum, is a lavish former hunting estate of almost 50 rooms. It was owned by the noble Bebek family and then the Counts Andrássy for centuries, until 1945, when it was confiscated.  I

The castle is surrounded by a beautiful 80-hectare English park, filled in with many rare wood species, metal garden sculptures, fountains and there is even an artificial cave and 8 meters high waterfall. They also had a menagerie, built in 19th century. This structure, which that looks like a medieval castle, accommodated a brown bear, lynx and mouflons at the time.

The Interior is filled with luxurious rooms, a historical library with 18.000 volumes and winter garden. It is furnished with numerous paintings, decorations, weapons, hunting items and abroad travels to the Middle- and Far East, such as an Egyptian mummy or samurai's armature.
