The Belniar Castle Museum, today part of the Slovak National Museum, is a lavish former hunting estate of almost 50 rooms. It was owned by the noble Bebek family and then the Counts Andrássy for centuries, until 1945, when it was confiscated.

The castle is surrounded by a beautiful 80-hectare English park, filled in with many rare wood species, metal garden sculptures, fountains and there is even an artificial cave and 8 meters high waterfall. They also had a menagerie, built in 19th century. This structure, which that looks like a medieval castle, accommodated a brown bear, lynx and mouflons at the time.
The Interior is filled with luxurious rooms, a historical library with 18.000 volumes and winter garden. It is furnished with numerous paintings, decorations, weapons, hunting items and abroad travels to the Middle- and Far East, such as an Egyptian mummy or samurai's armature.
