Kinsky Castle & Estate Zdar nad Sazavou
The traditional estate Zdar nad Sazavou has recently been enriched by new additions such as a Department Store with a Garden and Wood Centre and an interactive museum.
The interactive museum, called the 'New Generation Museum', is focusing on the Baroque period and around the times of the Cistercian monastery, in collaboration with the National Museum in Prague.

The Kinsky family is one of the oldest Czech aristocracy, going back to the 13th century. For many centuries, they lived on the hereditary estate of Chlumec nad Cidlinou, whereas in the first half of the 20th century they also came into possession of the estate of Žďár nad Sázavou by marriage.
The modern history of this ancient Czech aristocratic family began in 1992, when Count Radslav Kinsky took over this nationalized property. Today, his sons Constantin and Charles Nikolas Kinsky are now continuing his work. Constantin Kinsky was, amongst other, responsible for the creation of the Museum of the New Generation, whereas his wife Countess Marie Kinsky, is in charge of the museum's cultural and educational program.
The estate includes many activities such as Forestry, Hunting, Fishing, Agriculture, Falconry, Residential Properties, short-term hotel-type accommodation in the chateau....
The estate and museum are also available for corporate, private and cultural events, such as lectures, conferences, concerts, weddings...
