Ungurmuiža Manor

Castles & Country Houses, Event, Film & Wedding Hire
Ungurmuiža (Orellen) Manor, built in 1731–1732 by Lieutenant General Balthasar Freiherr von Campenhausen, is an excellent example of 18th century wooden baroque manors in Latvia. The von Campenhausen family owned the estate from 1728 to 1939.

Today the estate is open to the public containing the manor house, with rich wall paintings and ceiling plafonds, former school building, administrator’s house, a barn, a household building, and a tea house which is located in the old oak park with a trail leading further to the Meža (Forest) Park.

Tours are available in Latvian, Russian, English, and German.

There are classical music concerts in summers, in the open air, whereas in the wintertime, in evenings, visitors are welcome to enjoy traditional small music performances; besides it is possible to see the Latvian artists’ works at the exhibition hall.

The ballroom of the Manor House, terrace, or park is perfect for a wedding ceremony.
