The Belfry of Bruges is a tower 83 metres tall, including 366 steps, a carillon with 47 melodious bells, and the old treasury, where the city’s charters, seal and public funds were kept during the Middle Ages.
The tower served as an observation post for spotting all kind of dangers such as fires.
