Callenberg Castle, open to the public, is owned by the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. Its present head is Prince Andreas. He descends from the British line established by his great-great grandfather Prince Albert.
Since 1998 the castle lodges the collection of ducal art treasures, with precious pieces of furniture, paintings, porcelain, traditional handicrafts and a selection of weapons from four centuries.
Callenberg is also a venue for film & photo shooting, cultural, corporate and private events, such as concerts, receptions, weddings...
