Castle Moritzburg, originally a hunting lodge, was transformed into a Baroque palace in the 18th century by August the Strong and later by his great-grandson. It is a museum now with opulent Baroque decor, furniture, silver, porcelain, paintings, inlaid weapons...

The castle has seven halls and more than 200 rooms. Moritzburg Castle was used as a residence by Wettin Prince Ernst Heinrich of Saxony from 1933 until 1945, when the family was expropriated.

The Moritzburg is also a venue for film & photo shooting, cultural, corporate and private events, such as concerts, receptions, weddings...
