Grad Castle

Grad Castle, probably built by the Knights Templar, dates back to the 11th century and has been remodelled and extended over 800 years into the one of the largest baroque castles in Slovenia. Today, the castle is the seat of Gorièko Nature Park and displays the story of Gorièko through many angles, natural, cultural, ethnological, historical, arts & crafts...

The castle has gone through the hands of many noble families such as the Amade, Széchy, Batthyány, Nádasdy and the Széchényi families.

Throughout the year, the castle hosts numerous events and is also a wedding venue.
