Hôtel de la Marine

Castles & Country Houses, Museums & Art Centres
The Hôtel de la Marine is a historical monumental building on Place de la Concorde, built between 1757 and 1774 and designed by Ange-Jacques Gabriel, the king’s chief architect, who designed the Place de la Concorde as an ensemble.

Until 1798, it housed the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne, before becoming the headquarters of France’s navy ministry until 2015.

After careful restoration and refurbishments of the 18th century apartments, its stately reception rooms and its restaurant, it has been opened to the public in 2021.

It is a must-see!
