Musée de l'Histoire de France, housed in the beautiful and historic Hôtel de Soubise, exhibits highly interesting documents related to the History of France, drawn from the Archives Nationales (France).
The site of the Hôtel de Soubise and the Hôtel de Rohan dates already back to 1371 when Olivier de Clisson built a residence here. After having been in the hands of the House of de Guise, it was acquired by the de Rohan-Soubise family in 1700. Since the French Revolution it has become property of the state.
