National Botanic Gardens Kilmacurragh, 52 acres and surrounding the ruins of an elegant Queen Anne style house, contains rare trees and shrubs. It has a mild climate, high rainfall and deep, acidic soils.
The garden is a satellite garden of the National Botanic Gardens of Ireland, which are operated and managed by the Office of Public Works.
