Sherborne Castle was built in 1594 by Sir Walter Raleigh and has been home of the Digby family since 1617. The Castle, with its splendid collection of art, furniture and porcelain, and 'Capability' Brown gardens, are open to the public.
Paths and trails lead you through 30 acres of Gardens and Pleasure Grounds commanding spectacular views of more than 1,000 acres of parkland.
The Castle isn also a venue for TV & Film, corporate and private events, such as receptions, commercial parties, drink parties...
The state produces its own wines, such as Rose Brut, Brut, Wine Brandy, Rosé and Special Reserve.
