University of Exeter Grounds & Gardens

Gardens & Parks
University of Exeter Grounds & Gardens data back to the 19th century when the grounds of Reed (then Streatham Hall) were laid out for Richard Thornton West, an East India Merchant.

Since 1955, when the University was founded, the grounds have been further developed, improved and extended, by growing rare, tender and exotic plants, in order to be a source of learning and enjoyment.

The grounds are open every day and guided tours are available at specific dates, for visitors, staff and students.
