Wilhelma Botanical Garden ( 30 ha) is a zoological-botanical garden and was originally created by King Wilhelm I in 1846, for private use. The buildings are in Moorish Revival style, inspired by the Alhambra.

It contains 1.200 animal species and some 8,500 species and varieties of plants. 

The Damascene Hall is a venue for Civil weddings in the summer months.
