The Panorama Bourbaki is a cylindrical painting by Edouard Castres, 10 meters high and 112 in development, representing an episode of the Franco-Prussian war of 1870-1871, when General Bourbaki's Eastern French Army crossed the border into Switzerland and its subsequent internment there.
Edouard Castres (1838 – 1902), was a Swiss painter and took part of the Franco-Prussian war as a Red Cross volunteer.
