Castle Scharfenstein

Castle Scharfenstein dates back to 1250 and came into the hands of the Counts von Einsiedel until 1931. Today it is a museum and open to the public.
The castle has been extensively renovated by the Saxon Palace Department of the Free State of Saxony (Freistaat Sachsen – Sächsische Schlösserverwaltung) who has taken it over in 1993.
