Die Oper im Steinbruch St. Margarethen is since 1996 a yearly summer music festival, with opera and concerts in the open air, performed in historic quarry. The 2000 years old quarry houses two stages, the larger of which has almost 5000 seats, whereas the other one, the Ruffini stage, is used for concerts.
