The current Duke took over the chairmanship of the Goodwood Group of Companies in 1994, and is the founder of the Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival Meeting.

Goodwood is a traditional country estate of around 4,800 ha (12,000) acres that is managed in a completely modern way, with not only farming, forestry and land tenure practices, but also  racecourse, historic motor circuit, aerodrome, hotel, country club and the Goodwood Club, with golf courses, together with hospitality packages for corporate and private events.
