Stansted Park, set in a 729 ha (1.800 acres) parkland, dates back to the 11th century. The last private owner, the 10th Earl of Bessborough, handed it over in 1983 to a trust, the Stansted Park Foundation, including the Park, the Arboretum, a walled garden and the House with its beautiful contents.
