Hofburg - Imperial Palace

The Hofburg has been, together with the Schönbrunn palace, the heart and centre of the Habsburg empire until 1918. Today it is the seat of the Austrian Federal President, as well as home to various museums, the Spanish Riding School and a congress center.
The Hofburg dates back to the 13th century and has been extended many times.
At the Hofburg, the public has access to the Sisi Museum, the Imperial Apartments and the Imperial Silver Collection.
