Jaunmoku Manor, although the name was already mentioned early 16th century, the present manor was built in 1901 as a hunting lodge for the mayor of Riga George Armitstead (1847-1912) by the architect Wilhelm Bockslaff (1858-1945). Today Jaunmoku (Neu-Moken) offers a small forest museum, a hotel and restaurant, surrounded by a charming park.

During its relatively short history until WW II the estate has been in several private hands, the above mentioned George Armitstead, the von Brinkens family, the von Ungern-Sternberg family and the von Freymann family.

Since 1992, Jaunmoku was managed by the State Hunting Administration (Valsts medību saimniecība), but, since 2000 by the state joint stock company “Latvijas Valsts Meži” .

It is a perfect venue for corporate and private events such as seminars, conferences, weddings...
