Köpenick Castle is a Baroque water castle, build for the Electors of Brandenburg, the Hohenzollerns. However it dates back to the 6th century as a Slavic castle and a hunting lodge in the second half of the 16th century.
Today Köpenick Castle, surrounded by a small park, serves as the Museum of Decorative Arts, run by the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation as part of the Berlin State Museums.
