The Museum Arnaga, is a House-museum, dedicated to the work and life of Edmond Rostand (1806-1918), the French poet and dramatist. He is best known for work is 'Cyrano de Bergerac', and his plays written for Sarah Bernhardt, “La Princesse Lointaine“ and “La Samaritaine“.
Due to his bad health, he installed himself and his family in Villa Arnaga in Cambo-les-Bains, creating a sumptuous decor for his dream house, surrounded by charming French and English gardens.
Rostand became the youngest writer ever to be elected (in 1902) to the Académie Française.
