Museum of the National Bank of Belgium

Monuments & Sites, Museums & Art Centres
The Museum of the National Bank of Belgium features collections covering the whole field of Belgium’s national history with an emphasis on the economy and the development of money, banking and finance, including numismatic items, iconographic documents, valuable books and archives, artefacts and machines.

The building, the former Union du crédit de Bruxelles, was acquired by The National Bank in 2010, and is an exceptional example of late 19th century bank architecture. It was built in 1872 by Brussels architect Désiré De Keyser and has been complete renovated.
