The Rmn-Grand Palais, or officially “Réunion des musées nationaux – Grand Palais”, was built for the 1900 Universal Exhibition, together with the Petit Palais and Pont Alexandre III. Today it contains three major sites, the National Galleries, the Palais de la Découverte and the Nave. The Grand Palais will be closed from 2021-2025 for renovations.
The National Galleries is used for large-scale exhibitions on famous artists, whereas the Palais de la Découverte is dedicated to science, and the Nave is used for all sorts of major events.
