Castle Werdenberg comprises two museums, one at the castle and one in town. They display its 800-year history. At the castle the visitors become acquainted with the periods the counts, the governors and the Hilty family.
In town, the Museum Schlangenhaus displays the history of the inhabitants of Werdenberg and its region.
The castle is also used for cultural events such as the "Schlossmediale Werdenberg", an international festival for old music, contemporary music and audiovisual art.
Werdenberg is also a venue for weddings.
