Castle Garden Neustrelitz once surrounded the Neustrelitz Palace, destroyed during WWII. It was the main residence of the ruling dukes and Grand Dukes of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. The gardens are now restored.
They were laid out early 18th century and extended, by Lenné, in English landscape style mid 19th century.
In summer the garden is a venue for concerts.
