Kirby Hall is an Elizabethan and 17th century house, partly roofless. However the state rooms and Great Hall remain intact, refitted and redecorated according to 17th- and 18th century specifications. The garden has been restored.
The house was once in possession of the Lord Chancellor of Queen Elizabeth I, Sir Christopher Hatton.
