The Obermayerhofen Castle, was built as a fortress in 1170 but was rebuilt in 1574, after having been destroyed by the Turcs, early 16th century. In 1977 the castle was bought back by Count Harald Kottulinsky, whose family had owned it from 1777 to 1924.
