Ottersbach Castle

Ottersbach castle, today the perfect wedding venue and other celebrations amidst the beautiful South-Styrian landscape, was built around 1616 by Hans Murn and expanded in the course of the 17th and 18th centuries. The beautiful, late baroque building consists of two wings that meet at an obtuse angle. During its history it has been owned by over 15 different families, and is since 1925 in the hands of the Abel family.

The castle includes several halls, a rich library, and elegant stuccoed rooms.

Depending on the number of wedding guests, it is possible to choose between two banquet halls. The large ballroom with adjoining winter garden can accommodate up to 140 guests, the vaulted hall holds up to 55 people.

Interested guests can use the time between the agape and the wedding banquet to take part in guided tours of the castle museum.
